There’s something quietly satisfying about turning what most people would throw away into paper you can actually use. This batch started as nothing more than scraps and shredded bits — the kind of thing that usually ends up in the bin without a second thought.
A little water, a lot of pulping, and patience turned that pile of shreds into sheets of handmade paper in all kinds of textures — some soft and pale, some with a warmer, kraft-like tone. From there, the paper became small bundles of note cards tied with twine, a few heart shapes, and a tiny hand-bound art journal with a hot air balloon print on the cover.
It’s a good reminder that “waste” is really just material waiting for a second chance — and that some of my favorite pieces have started as nothing more than what everyone else throws away.
